Stone Boulder Candles

Truth be told, these candles were a lucky accident, which soon became one of our most popular candles. In order to finish testing my first prototypes of the Stone Candle Sculpture in time for release at an upcoming trade fair, I disassembled the pieces and decided to burn each stone separately (rather than starting at the top of the sculpture and having to wait over 300 hours to complete the test!).

The individual stones were plonked on the kitchen table, I lit the wicks and went back to making candles. When I next glanced up, I was mesmerised by these beautiful stone boulders, so elegant and realistic, scattered across the table in seeming perfection. The next magic happened an hour or so later, when I realised that the pool of melted wax forming around each wick looked like a rock pool, reflecting the flame, and making a beautiful trio of elements – stone, water and fire.

Our Stone Boulder Candles are individually hand-poured in many shades of grey.

They are very popular as house warming gifts and beach house décor.
