 These Stone Cairn candles are one of my favourite gifts to give, especially for someone who doesn’t need anything (but you just want to let them know that you’re thinking of them).  

The stacking of stones represents the steps of a personal journey. Inspired by the indigenous traditions of North America, stone cairns were often used to mark sites important to survival or history, and to indicate the correct path forward. I thought this symbolism translated beautifully into a gift for someone embarking on a new path or passage in their life.

Our Stone Cairn Candles are created stone by stone; moulded from river rocks, they are individually hand-poured then combined so that no two candles are the same. 

I love that a candle can be tactile and textural, interesting to both hold and gaze upon. Strong rather than pretty, bold and symbolic, and perhaps even more so as it gradually burns down layer by layer.

Coastal range –  Gentle hues that mirror sun-bleached stones and soft earth tones.
River range – Dark, earthen tones drawn from river stones and shadowed forest streams.
